The Committee decided to amend the terms to run for the presidency, so given the independent candidacy for the position, provided that get 30 thousand signatures of endorsement for his candidacy, and are distributed in 12 counties of 29 provinces, or obtain the approval of 150 members of the members of the People's Assembly and Shura Council.
And may each political party represented in Parliament, according to the proposed amendments, the nomination of one of its members for the presidency, regardless of its position within the party.
Article 77:
Original text: the presidential term of 6 years starting from the Gregorian date of announcement of result of the referendum, and may be re-elected President of the Republic to other periods.
Modified: 4-year presidential term beginning on the Gregorian date of announcement of election results, and may be re-elected President of the Republic for one further term only.
Article 88:
Original text: The law defines the conditions to be met by members of the People, and shows the provisions of the election and the referendum, the ballot in a single day, and the Graduate Committee is responsible for independent and impartial supervision of the elections.
Modified: The problem of a judicial commission of judges of the platform only (members of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts of Final Appeal and the State Council) to oversee the elections, including the Declaration of nominations are open and the result was announced.
Article 93:
The Council shall decide on the validity of its members. The Court of Cassation shall investigate the validity of the appeals submitted to the Council after referral to a boss. Must refer the appeal to the Court of Cassation within fifteen days from the date of the Council's information tags, and investigation shall be completed within ninety days from the date referred to the Court of Cassation.
The result of the investigation and the decision reached by the Court to the Council for the validity of the appeal within sixty days from the date the result of the investigation to the Council, and membership is invalid only by a decision taken by a majority of two thirds of the Council.
Modified: abolition of the role of the people in the final chapter in the health of members of congress, and assign that role to the full Court of Cassation, after investigating the complaints of election fraud, and the result of investigation would be a judicial ruling enforceable.
Article 148:
President declares state of emergency in the manner prescribed in the law, this Declaration must be presented to the Council of People's Assembly within the fifteen days following the decision upon it.
If the parliament is dissolved on the command displays the new council at its first meeting. In all cases, the declaration of a state of emergency for a specified period, may not be extended without the consent of the people.
Modified: state of emergency for six months only, at the request of the President of the Republic after approval by both houses of the people and of Ministers, and renewed calls for the state of emergency and hold a referendum.
Article 151:
President of the Republic shall conclude treaties and communicate them to the people with the appropriate statement. And have the force of law after their conclusion, ratification and publication in accordance with the established procedure.
However, treaties of peace and alliance, commerce and navigation treaties and all that entails changes in the territory of the State, or concerning the rights of sovereignty, or which entail additional expenditure not contained in the budget, it must be approved by the People's Assembly.
Modified: not all treaties are entered into only after approval by referendum the People's Assembly and shall have the force of law after ratification.
Article 189:
The President of the Republic and the People request the amendment of one or more articles of the Constitution, and should be specified in the request for amendment articles to be amended and the reasons for this amendment.
If the request emanates from the people shall be signed by the third of the members of the Council at least.
In all cases, the Council discusses the principle of the amendment and issued its decision in the majority of its members would, if the request is denied may not re-request to amend the articles themselves before the expiration of one year from the rejection.
If approved by parliament on the principle of the amendment, discussed two months after the date of this approval, the articles to be amended, if agreed to the amendment two-thirds of the members of the Council's view on the people to be referred in this regard.
If the amendment is approved and considered effective from the date of announcement of the result of the referendum.
Modified: make a proposal to amend the Constitution to a certain number of masses of their right to vote, and to delete paragraphs third, fourth and forwarded to the Law of the People's Assembly.
