Anelka to lead Chelsea a valuable victory in Copenhagen


Chelsea cut more than half way towards the quarter-finals of the Champions League football, winning precious away to FC Copenhagen, Denmark (2 - zero) in the first leg second round of the tournament, thanks to a bilateral French striker Nicolas Anelka.

The win ease the pressure on coach Carlo Ancelotti after his team exited the FA Cup defeat by Everton on penalties in front of him last Saturday, and diminished hopes of defending their title, local failure, 12 points behind leaders Manchester United.
